I've been a regular customer at a market for a few years now. I enjoy hot cups of yerba mate & usually take the "one free refill per customer". On Feb. 9th I overheard the store security say to another man, "It's always the long hairs." I wondered for a second if he was talking about me. Sure enough, he stopped me outside the store & asked, "Hey buddy, what makes you think you can walk away without paying for your coffee?" I explained that I paid earlier & had just refilled. He still questioned me, so I brought him inside to have the clerk tell him that I did in fact pay. Does this store train you to treat all "long hairs" as suspects? Do you not realize that several regular customers & even some employees have "questionable" appearance (long hair, dreads, tattoos, etc.)? What kind of store security insults their clientele with this kind of discrimination? I can tell you: just hold your tongue & say "apple."
