If you really loved your cats, as you say do, keep them inside. The tired, old excuse of cats needing to roam is just so bogus - my dogs would prefer to roam the neighborhood, too. But, I'm a responsible pet owner & keep them at home. My daughter has 2 indoor cats - safe, happy, healthy. You just have to be willing to change the cat box more often. If you can't take care of them at your own home, you shouldn't have them.
