To the person in the red Suburban (?) in front of me at the Shadle Starbucks drive-thru: thank you for buying my drink with a "Happy Mothers' Day" wish! You couldn't have possibly known what that meant to me. My only child died just before he was born many years ago, & not many remember I was ever a mother. There was no one in back of me for whom I could "pay it forward," but please know that I will.
