If you are driving a car and there is no stop sign in front of you and you see a cyclist stopped at a stop sign, don't stop! You don't stop for other vehicles when you are driving on an arterial & see a car waiting at a stop sign on a side road, do you? If a cyclist is waiting at a stop sign he is obeying the law. Idiots who stop for them cause confusion & accidents! If someone is off their bike & pushing it, they are a pedestrian. Pedestrians do have the right of way & you should stop for them. Parents, teach your children bicycle safety! Cyclists, follow the rules! Don't give a thank you wave and cross because a car stopped for you when it shouldn't have, wave them on. Maybe eventually they will follow the rules & become less of a driving hazard.
