Jeers to Spokane for not being able to support our local indy theatre (Magic Lantern)- again! They had the best films, the best popcorn (served in old Tupperware), treats from Madeleine's & even recently old-timey glass candy jars with Swedish fish, chocolates & the like. They'd even hand deliver the espresso drink you ordered to your seat, & in a "Friends" type mug. How fun! The film selection was amazing. Much better than most you get at Regal Cinemas & the others in town. Films that you could sit about, think about & talk about & oh, then there's the proprietor, an adorable guy who would talk to anyone about films or whatever. I am so bummed...one of the best experiences in Spokane is no more.
