Jeers to the mayoral candidate for Spokane for believing that there is a
war against civilization from squirrels and crows. My girlfriend and I have
been frequenting parks on a regular basis for the past 3 years and never
have we seen, heard, or experienced "dive-bombing crows" or anyone being
bitten by squirrels. I highly recommend reevaluating any of these
occurrences you may have experienced as I can guarantee that the creatures
in question were being provoked before "attacking." Furthermore, a squirrel
would not go out of its way to bite someone; they are "flight" not "fight"
creatures. The only way I could imagine a squirrel biting someone is if you
are feeding it by hand which is a BAD IDEA!!! In the end, if your kids are
being attacked by wild animals not half their size, WATCH THEM CLOSELY! You
can't blame a wild animal for feeling threatened.
