Judges select finalists for Spokane's Top Model

Americans love competitions, and thanks to Red Eye Promotions newest project, Spokane’s Top Model, you’re about to find out how much prettier other people are than you.

The competition recently selected 40 models (ages 18 and older), out of 250 or so applicants, to compete for the top slot. Eight local salons and boutiques will also compete in the effort to get these women dolled up.

Photographers Shane Savage and Jamie Valandra will take the model’s final photos, which will be broadcast alongside the runway during the final competition on April 16, at 7pm at the Knitting Factory. Models will be judged on their print photos and the runway performance at the event.

But looking pretty won’t be exactly easy. The judges panel includes Seattle Fashion Week winners, salon directors and glamour-magazines execs.

Let’s hope it’s as juicy and entertaining as a reality television show.
