TONIGHT: Juggling Cats!

Gregory Popovich grew up as the child of Russian circus performers and dog trainers. As a child, he became a member and eventual star of the Moscow Circus. In 1990, he joined the Ringling Brothers Circus in the United States but decided to leave “traditional” big-top show biz, move to Las Vegas, and play with cats. If only the Internet was around back then …

If you love cat videos, cat memes, and you’re proud to say you’re from Spokane — home of the keyboard cat — this show is for you. The World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater blends the comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich with the extraordinary talents of his performing pets.

Each of the show's 15 cats and 10 dogs were once strays, rescued from animal shelters. Now these animals jump rope, climb ladders, juggle, walk tight ropes, and give each other piggybacks. And you can look forward to an upcoming feature-length film called the Popovich Movie. That’s right, 60-plus minutes of cats pushing dogs in baby carriages. We here at The Inlander — and everyone else online — well, we can hardly contain ourselves.

Watch the show today, Nov. 9 at 7 pm at the Bing Crosby Theater and then again on Nov. 10 at 7 pm at the Panida Theater.
