Downtown stabbing

An 18-year-old woman allegedly stabbed another woman in an alley Sunday night in downtown Spokane before police found and arrested the suspect. The victim has serious injuries. (KHQ)

Bombing at Pakistan hospital
At least 67 people were killed and dozens more wounded in a suicide-bomber attack at a hospital in Quetta, Pakistan, on Monday. 

Michael Phelps won another gold medal, his 19th overall, in a 4x100-meter freestyle relay during what he says is his final Olympics. Meanwhile, swimmer Katie Ledecky beat her own world record by 1.19 seconds in the 400-meter freestyle.
