Hundreds of Black Lives Matter demonstrators gathered at the Big Red Wagon in Riverfront Park in Spokane, Wash. and then marched to the county courthouse and city hall to protest police brutality and racial injustice, on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
It's been a week since Kenosha, Wis. police officer Rusten Sheskey shot Jacob Blake, a Black man, 7 times in the back as Sheskey and other officers arrested him. The protest is dedicated to Blake and Tyler Rambo, who was shot fourteen times by Coeur d’Alene police officers as they arrested him on July 4, 2019. Rambo lost both his legs as a result.
