Re: “Baumgartner releases radio ad pushing his Eastern Washington roots

1980 all over again

After reading the article “Invoking Reagan may propel GOP,” I started thinking about Spokane’s local races. Who might fall into the category of a local Ronald Reagan? The only individual I could conclusively say would be our local Ronald Reagan is Michael Baumgartner.
Michael Baumgartner has rejected many of Bush’s failed policies, including going to Iraq as a diplomat in an attempt to get us out, rather than keep us in. He is someone who wants to properly prioritize our spending to most suitably support the greater good of Spokane and Washington state.
Chris Marr, the entrenched incumbent, has jumped right into the shoes of Jimmy Carter. Marr is a supporter of higher taxes and a signer of Obama’s Universal Health Care petition at a cost of $30 billion to Washington state.
The race for Spokane’s 6th District Senate seat seems to be a case of history repeating itself. The question is simple — are you better off now than you were four years ago? If near-record jobless numbers, a record state deficit, and being among the highest taxed in the nation is any indication, then the solution is simple, vote Michael Baumgartner, the responsible candidate for state Senate.
