International Women's Day Spokane 2019

For International Women’s Day 2019, YWCA Spokane has gathered some of the community’s most inspiring female leaders for an afternoon of empowerment, networking, activism and personal reflection on the theme of “Balance for Better: Creative, Cultural and Community Healing.” Keynote presenter Idella King, an activist for missing and murdered indigenous women, kicks off the celebration at 1 pm. The remainder of the afternoon event offers three workshops, including a session with Power 2 the Poetry founder Bethany Montgomery. Other presenters are facilitating programs on self-care and the importance of developing compassion for one’s self. Guests are encouraged to pre-register online as space for each workshop is limited.
