I moved to Spokane five years ago, so I don't know the Lilac City without the Bartlett being here. The
news today about the Bartlett closing in November undoubtedly has a lot of Spokane's music fans bummed out, myself included. But it also led me to think about some of the great shows I've seen there the last half-decade, many of which I was lucky enough to review for the
Inlander (and many more which I was happy just to be there, soaking in some great sounds in a venue that was fan-friendly to the nth degree). Here are photos — not necessarily great ones, as I'm a writer not a photographer — of some of my favorite gigs from the little venue that could.
