Timbrrr! Winter Music Festival

WHAT TO EXPECT: There aren't nearly as many music festivals happening in the winter, which is what Timbrrr! Fest is trying to address. The event held in Leavenworth, Wash., is put on by the guys who brought you Timber! Outdoor Music Festival, but this one offers up-and-coming regional acts.

Northwest Bach Festival

WHAT TO EXPECT: A variety of classical concerts fashioned for every ear. Music ranging from Early Baroque — including quite a bit of Bach — to modern works are performed in some of the most beautiful venues around Spokane.

WHO GOES? Those who understand the brilliance of classical music

GENRE: Classical

COST & DATE: $25 to $220 per performance; a couple film screenings were free. Two weeks, from the end of Feb. through March

Sasquatch

WHAT TO EXPECT: The ultimate Washington state music festival, Sasquatch! brings the best national & regional talent to the beautiful outdoor Gorge Amphitheatre.

WHO GOES? All-ages of Northwest music fans, and lots of Canadians

WHAT TO EXPECT: A free neighborhood block party put on by the Elk Public House in Browne's Addition.

WHO GOES? All-ages and maybe a dude with a snake

GENRE: Mostly rock, indie and hip-hop

Paradiso

WHAT TO EXPECT: Surrounded by glorious views of Idaho mountains and water, it brings in some of the top talent in the country to War Memorial Field.

WHO GOES? College-aged kids; the show is 18+

GENRE: EDM (electronic dance music)

COST & DATE: GA $150; VIP $150-$250 per day; camping $85 June 26-27

The Festival at Sandpoint

WHAT TO EXPECT: Surrounded by glorious views of Idaho mountains and water, it brings in some of the top talent in the country to War Memorial Field.

WHO GOES? People who like to BYOB to a festival.

Bartfest

WHAT TO EXPECT: The goal of this brand-new music festival is to bring in the best regional & local indie talent to the Bartlett and nYne stages for an intimate experience.

WHO GOES? Hipsters, but it's all-ages

GENRE: Indie, electronic
