Another dump of Matt Shea Signal messages is released, including discussion last year of a plan to possibly join forces with James Allsup.
“Here’s my two cents," Shea wrote to local Republicans in June last year. "I think you should reach out to [Allsup] and if he is legit (not racist or a plant) make an ally.”
Spokane GOP Chair Cecily Wright resigned later that summer after she hosted Allsup at a meeting for local conservatives and claimed he'd been a victim of label lynching.
The Inlander also heard a podcast conversation between Shea and prepper fiction book author Greg Overstreet this year, where Shea lamented a situation where “a student at a university at Washington state" "gave an opinion that was outside of the accepted norm and was punished for it... He was fired and suffered some retribution for it.”
