Peace plan
President Trump is expected to announce a long-awaited Middle East peace plan today that is expected to include a proposal to change Israel's borders to give it control of much of the Jordan Valley. Palestinian leaders, who no longer speak with Trump administration officials, will likely oppose the plan. (New York Times)

Escalating outbreak
The coronavirus is rapidly spreading, Chinese authorities said on Tuesday. The official count of known cases jumped nearly 60 percent overnight and the death toll has exceeded 100 for the first time. No deaths from the virus have been reported outside of China. (New York Times)
