Before summer ends, join us on Thursday, Sept. 6, in Kendall Yards' Olmstead Park (2335 W. Summit Pkwy.) for an outdoor screening of 1978's Grease. Based on the Tony-nominated stage show, the star-crossed romance of high school tough guy Danny and good girl Sandy remains one of the most popular screen musicals of all time.

But this isn't your standard movie screening: We're inviting you to sing and dance along with the actors in the film. And for those of you who aren't well versed in lyrics, don't worry: They'll be up on the screen for your karaoking pleasure. You'll just need to decide who'll be the Sandy and who'll be the Danny before "Summer Nights" comes on.

This is a free and family-friendly event and we encourage you to bring a blanket to sit on and even a picnic to enjoy. Incrediburger's food truck will also be on site selling their delicious burgers and Brain Freeze Creamery will be handing out free ice cream scoops for a limited time, courtesy of our sponsor Horizon Credit Union.

When it hit theaters 40 years ago this summer, Grease became an instant phenomenon. It was the box office champ of '78 (it outgrossed the likes of Superman and Animal House), its soundtrack album sold millions of copies and it transformed John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John (who were already pretty famous) into bona fide superstars.

Seating will become available at 6:30 pm and the film starts at dusk.
