CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT: Cher hits the Spokane Arena May 2

Last week, the Spokane Arena teased a "legendary entertainer" being added to their 2020 concert lineup. And this morning it was revealed that the iconic artist in question was Cher, who'll be turning back time in the Inland Northwest on May 2.

Tickets for the show will start at $39.95 and run all the way up to $500 for premium seat packages.

The upcoming date is part of Cher's extended "Here We Go Again" tour, in support of her recent ABBA cover album Dancing Queen which was itself inspired by her cameo in the Mamma Mia! sequel (which we liked quite a bit). Cher has been hitting the road more often since her long Vegas residency came to an end, and this marks her first time through Spokane since a 2005 stop on one of her many "farewell" tours.

And if that news isn't exciting enough, the long-running R&B/funk band Chic will serve as openers. They're one of the most influential groups of the disco era, and guitarist Nile Rodgers' riffs on songs like "Le Freak" and "Good Times" are amongst the most sampled in early hip-hop.

You can buy your tickets starting this Friday, Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. through all TicketsWest outlets.
