launched their tour in support of new album The Center Won't Hold
at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox Wednesday night. The set included 10 of the new album's 11 songs, as well as a smattering of old favorites like "Modern Girl," "Step Aside" and "Words and Guitar." Both guitarist/vocalists, Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker, were in fine form fronting their new backing trio.
This marked the second time Sleater-Kinney kicked off a new tour in the Lilac City — four years ago they played the Knitting Factory
as their first show after a decade-long hiatus, and brought along an opener named Lizzo.
