I miss our friendship. Hope you know I think about you a lot & I miss the good times. I know you read the Inlander, so this is my shot to try & find you. I want you to know I'm always here for a good ol' talk n cig, & coffee. Whatever it was that held you back from responding, I don't know, but I truly miss you & I'm here regardless. I hope to hear from you. We were uncool before uncool was cool. Love you. P.S. "I think I've found the bottom!!" -J.

What, do you really think we give a rip about you in the political arena just because you jab your signs in every nook & cranny of this city, annually from June to Nov.? In my view, if the politician can pollute our city with signage for his or her own ends, then what are the chances he or she will do what's good or right for the needs of the voters?

So it's nice to know that my child's dad is getting over $200 a month food stamps for quitting his job & not paying child support. While I am truly struggling to stay a float I receive $16 a month food stamps because I have a job & make $50 too much to really "qualify" but also supporting my son. I will be lucky if I am not homeless in the next couple of months with my son, but will his dad be? I also know that people in the jail are receiving food stamps! Why is that, I would like to know? Aren't we already paying taxes and things to feed them? How sad that people who are truly struggling can not get help but those who do nothing get rewarded!? Take another look at the system would ya!

To the old jerk that hit and ran in the parking lot of the General Store. You looked right at me as I saw you back away from the accident. You then had the nerve to go to the other end of the lot & park. What were you drunk? Yes I found your crappy little white Ford Ranger with the Christian fish on the tailgate. Oh, and I wrote down all the information including your license plate number and gave it to the owner of the truck you hit. I kept a copy too. It doesn't matter that the truck you hit wasn't that nice. You are way old enough to do the right thing! Christian you are not! If karma doesn't get you then something down below will!

To the people that stole from artists at Art on the Green. This is not imported junk you are looking at, we spend hours & hours on our work and with the economy the way it is you can imagine what the profit margin is like. You are not just stealing a physical item, but part of our souls. What goes around comes around, there is a special place on the ninth level of hell reserved for people who steal from artists and craftspeople-enjoy your stay!

Winco shopper. To the person who pushed their shopping cart into my less than one week old owned 2006 Chrysler 300, I hope you get yours. I parked away from everyone, no cars two slots on either side. I have upper marks that will rub out but you left a great scratch mid door that took paint off & is there forever. 4 days to be exact I've had it. I'm not rich, first newer car I've owned in years. You probably thought oops, oh well. Leaving a note probably didn't even cross your mind. There was no cart around so I know you did it & put it away. You probably just got your groceries for free too. I hope your engine or tranny fails in the middle of no where with no cell phone reception on a record temp day. You people make me sick.

Jeers to those old-timers who left the Ringo Starr & his All-Star Band concert early. The row I sat in all walked out due to the music being too loud and the lights being too bright!? I've never seen such a sorry bunch of whiners in my life. What were you expecting? Ringo singing Manilow tunes? Edgar Winter playing the cello? Rick Deringer strumming a banjo? I'm sick of going to concerts in Eastern Washington where nobody knows how to dance, clap, or sing any of the songs. I just got back from a concert in Portland & it was like comparing Mardi Gras to a funeral. If you want to just sit & stare for a couple hours, go fishing & quit buying tickets for concerts you don't have the appreciation for in the first place. Leave the good seats for the rest of us would ya?

In response to the parent who is unhappy with the District 81 school calendar. I work for the district & I wish we started after Labor Day as well. I also wish we had a longer school day and school year. We have so much content we are required to teach, but very little time in which to do it. In regard to the built in snow days, I believe that was a wise move after two years in a row of school being closed for a week. The first year we lost prime academic time and never made it up. The second year we lost prime academic time, but the days were tacked on to the very end of the year which was completely useless from an academic standpoint. Since when are schools supposed to provide DAY CARE? My job is to educate your children. Some school systems are going to 4 day weeks or ending school a month early because they do not have enough funding. Seems to me that not supporting the levy which would reduce funding even more could possibly result in less time in school and less DAY CARE for your child. How about using your energy to lobby our state legislators to adequately fund public education so your kids have more time in school? On the other hand, you could pay $20K a year to have your child go to a private school that has the same school calendar as District 81!

I would like to thank the A-hole who broke into my car and stole my kids' school clothes! Really great timing considering I just lost my job, got denied unemployment because I'm trying to go to school AND those were all I had so far for them. THANK YOU! I bet you are just a classy person..should be real proud of yourself.

For everyone leaving the South Hill in the morning, particularly those taking the 29th Ave all the way to High Drive and then to downtown. For some reason everyone driving around 7:45am -8am for Pete's sake speed the hell up. This is starting to be ridiculous. You aren't even doing the speed limit. You don't even care if there are 7 cars behind you. You continue to mosey on down the hill like a snail. Speed up it will not hurt you, you might like it. Many of us like myself leave on time, but when you refuse to drive even the speed limit, you make us all late.
