Several animals died yesterday in a fire at the Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary yesterday morning. The fire is the latest hit to a shelter that operates solely on donations with a shoestring volunteer staff. The shelter is scrambling to find emergency housing for the displaced animals. (SR)
