RE: Designer Pups

Great jeer, I agree completely. However, you left out one very important element. Jeers also to the people that buy these so-called designer dogs. Without those buyers, the breeders could not sell the puppies. Please people, if you have any shred of decency, visit an animal shelter. If not to adopt a homeless pet, then at least to see the horrendous pet overpopulation problem in real life. I urge everyone - breeders and buyers alike - to stop. If you can offer a wonderful home to a pet, adopt - don't buy. This message comes from Lily. I am a Shepherd/Akita mix. I am 9 months old. I live in a local animal shelter. Why am I called a mutt and not a "designer dog"? I want and deserve the joys of a yard, a warm, soft bed, good food and people that love me. Am I too old? Am I too ugly? My heart hurts every day when I hear of the little puppies that are so lucky to go from their life at the boutique to a new family. I hope someday soon someone will see that I am cute and good too. I'm waiting for you to come and meet me. You won't be sorry.
