Social Ignoramuses

Posted on Mon, Dec 13, 2010 at 9:36 AM

Jeers to those who (along with their son) just had to leave last Sat's Teddy Bear Toss Chief's game a minute & 15 seconds early, demanding that I & my family stand up to let them out. This did not just inconvenience us; it also blocked the view for the rows behind us & them during this crucial last portion of the game. It must be nice to be so much the center of the universe that the rules of common courtesy do not apply to you. Did you miss the announcement at the beginning of the game reminding everyone to show some courtesy (& some class, implied) & wait until the whistle to leave or return to your seats? Oh, yes, you did, because you were LATE to the game, too. No excuse; this reminder is on the backs of the section leaders shirts as well. It falls under the category of those things that you shouldn't have to tell people, but some folks just need extra reminders. Not enough for you, though. Maybe next time you could make sure your seats are on the end of an aisle so that you bother fewer fans with your late comings & early goings. Or, even better, since it's so important that you be elsewhere, next time stay elsewhere! Thank you! Signed, a Better Fan than You
