From the lowly liquor store employee. The majority of our customers are
great, and it's been a pleasure over the years, but to the select few who
gleefully ask us about when we're going out of business or when we're going
to be jobless. When is it ever appropriate to express joy at someone's
potential unwarranted unemployment? Especially when they're standing right
in front of you? Despite what you may think, we are not sinister agents of
some oppressive government that has overtaxed you for unjust and nefarious
reasons. We are simply retailers, selling you a product. As June 1st
approaches, I for one will not be sorry to see your kind for the last time.
You know what they say about opinions and I don't care what you think of
our governor! Let the people at the grocery stores deal with your bad
attitude, your whiskey sweat and your addiction fueled hatred of all things
positive. Watch out store clerks, for these gems in your express check-out
line. Hopefully, if liquor prices go up, they won't assume that you are
part of some liberal conspiracy to make their lives even more miserable.
