Bike Jeerers

Posted on Sat, Sep 15, 2012 at 8:23 AM

First of all I would like to thank the city of Spokane for providing
excellent roadways for us to all share a safe commuting environment that is
friendly to all types of transportation! Oh wait.. you haven't! Until that
day we must all learn this: bikes are technically vehicles so they should
be used in such a manner with cyclists using hand signals (drivers, do you
even remember them?) staying to the right side of the road unless they are
able to keep up with the flow of traffic or changing lanes to turn and
such. However: drivers in Spokane are dangerous, usually not paying
attention to anything outside of their car, unaware that they are operating
a piece of equipment that weighs thousands of pounds that could potentially
kill someone and not the least bit courteous towards their Eco-friendly
neighbors. So, the alternative safer way to get around is to bike on the
sidewalk. Usually pedestrians are more courteous and a lot less dangerous.
In conclusion: Spokane City Council, Mayor and community please, please,
everyone, lets all fix this problem! We need better roadways!
