So you think you lost your friend? Perhaps the laugh was taken out of
friendship. People make promises yet the fallout from that bonfire is what
fuels divorce courts, the music industry, daytime soap operas and Harlequin
novels around the world over. Denial or loss of your lifetime membership in
the Friendship Club is likely due to "repeat offender status' of reckless
disregard for the very brick and mortar of great lasting friendships that
rely on expectations or standards of trust and valuing of feelings. These
are the unspoken solidifying forces and energy a solid relationship
gravitates toward to move the relationship forward in a dynamic way. I
suggest visiting a local Comedy Club and listen for a 'laugh'
that 'resonates.' As for me and my friends, "I'll be true as long as you -
and not a moment after." And that's a promise!
