RE: Matthew 7:6

RE: Matthew 7:6, one must be cautious while trying to support someone's
christian beliefs so as not to paint yourself as myopic and judgemental,
which you did quite well. Suggesting that these people should avoid
atheists and free-thinkers is completely absurd...isolating yourself from
any and all diversity promotes ignorance and bigotry. You don't "know"
anything more than anyone else. You believe that you do, but you can't get
any closer to the truth than those that believe in other religions or those
that believe in none at all. Your dogma is little more than a series of
interpretations of an outdated text that mostly serve to support what the
believer wants to believe and not necessarily what was actually said. I'm
sure you wrote this letter with the intent of supporting other christians,
but all you've managed to do is represent the darker, dumber side of
organized religion.
