It was just another day last week when all of a sudden five demonstrators
broke out into a flash mob in the middle of the downtown Apple store
singing a version of "Stop! In the name of love" urging Apple Corporation
to pay its taxes. While these people might not be winning any Grammies for
their performance anytime soon, they are right. As a former Apple employee,
I know that Apple should stop gaming the tax code to evade paying billions
in taxes that would go to invest in our country. Nothing like that has
happened here before and I'm glad that some people, including the sign
waivers outside, have the courage to stand up for the greater good.
