A virus unseen
Can strip away everything
All, that we hold dear

Ideas and people
Our unseen “enemy” takes
Altering beliefs

What seemed certain then
Changes into something new
We are no longer

Who we used to be
Is now a past construction
Who will we become?

Now that we have seen
Endless possibilities
New alternatives

They told us we’d fight
Humans do tend to destroy
Now, we know better
