Not many people like the rain. That statement has a definite "no shit" factor to it.
But one thing about rain in Spokane that does have some poop involved is the city's continued practice of something called Combined Sewer Overflow. What that means is every time it rains, sewage (and whatever the streets' gutters have collected) is pumping directly into the Spokane River.

Today, for instance, there are six points of contact between the lovely river and our bodily waste: a half-mile upstream of the T.J. Meenach Bridge, a third-mile on either side of the Monroe Street Dam, right at the Monroe Street Dam, as well as a few other places.
