The "There Are Too Many Awards Shows" Award — Nominees for the SAG Awards, Golden Globes, WGA Awards and SPBGMA Awards have been announced. You may now return to not caring.

The "Haven't They Suffered Enough?" Award — Laura Creach, wife of Ernie Creach (who is the son of slain pastor Wayne Scott Creach) returned home to find three burglary suspects who kicked their way in through the back door. They fled when Laura came home but made off with a .22-caliber pistol and a loaded magazine. (KREM)

The "Way To Make Santa Claus Even Scarier" Award — Post Falls police say a man with gray hair and a gray beard pulled up in a blue van and scared two girls on Wednesday morning. Similar occurrences have been reported in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls. (SR)

The "Probably Not Going To Happen" Award — Gov. Chris Gregoire is mulling over the release of Jerry Dean Lain, who was convicted of nearly killing a police officer 28 years ago. (KXLY)

The "Snowmageddon Award for Lifetime Achivement" — Okay, so it's only supposed to be a light dusting, but you know people are still going to freak the hell out when it starts snowing on Saturday. (SR)
