No charges for deputy — A Stevens County sheriffs deputy won't be charged for a March 5 incident in which he shot a man in his bed. (SR)

Speaking of Stevens County — A 78-year old Stevens County man was arrested after authorities found that an elderly woman he was caring for was living in squalor. The woman, 105, was found begged authorities for food when they located her. (KXLY)

Obama mulls troop levels — But only because troops cost so damn much to station overseas. (NYT)
