A train case — Coeur d'Alene police are still unclear as to why a man who was driving parallel to the train tracks in Rathdrum decided to drive on the tracks, leading to his death. (CDA Press)

Apple shocks the council — Spokane councilman Bob Apple wants to regulate the use and sale of tasers, saying some people view the devices as a source of entertainment. The city attorney will report his findings regarding the law's definitions of tasers to the council next Monday. (KXLY) 

Athol arsenic — An Athol well sports water containing arsenic to the tune of 91 parts per billion. That's almost nine times the federal limit of 10 parts per billion. Don't dispense with your trip to Athol yet: the well serves only 18 homes. (KREM)
