TONIGHT!

In the nearly 20-year history of this paper, the number of bands who have been featured on the cover of The Inlander have been few. They’re always the show-stoppers and crowd rousers that make it there, and a long-gone version of one of those — Flee the Century — will return tonight to the Spokane stage to wow a whole new set of ears. The band hypnotized audiences way back in 2006 with a synth-driven pop sound that verged on the edge of ridiculous, featuring bizarro samples, occasional laser gun noises and incessant, danceable drums. The trio is scattered across the country, but convenes now and then to keep Spokane’s heart rate up. Flee the Century plays tonight with Bandit Train and BBBBandits at Mootsy’s. $5. Gotta be 21.
