Sasquatch sells out in record time

If you were planning to get Sasquatch tickets, you should have planned better — the four-day music festival at The Gorge sold out in less than 90 minutes after going on sale Saturday morning.

The Boise Weekly had a 1-minute video contest for two passes, and the winning video from Boise singer Darian Renee will remind you just how much you could be missing out on. She eschewed the obvious Sasquatch-the-hairy-beast theme and performed an eight-song medley:

(The Inlander doesn’t have any passes to give away at this point, but you could still make musical Sasquatch videos and send them to us if you were so inclined. Also, we are giving away other tickets on Facebook this week.)

Two bands in the Sasquatch lineup — Mumford & Sons and The Lumineers — performed at the Grammys last night. The Lumineers were nominated for Best New Artist (the awkwardly punctuated band Fun. won instead), and Mumford & Sons won Album of the Year for “Babel.”

Mumford & Sons also took part in the winning long-form music video, “Big Easy Express,” with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros (going to be at Sasquatch) and Old Crow Medicine Show (sadly not). Here’s the trailer:
