Fresh from Spokane's Nutcracker performance, State Street Ballet kills time on a layover

From Spokane to overnight viral video sensations, the State Street Ballet recently took one American airport by storm.

Last weekend, the Spokane Symphony beautifully accompanied the Santa Barbara, California-based State Street Ballet’s version of the holiday favorite The Nutcracker, which included more than 75 local dancers. Monday, while attempting to kill time on a 5-hour layover from Spokane to Durango, Colorado, the State Street dancers had a little bit of fun on the Denver International Airport’s moving walkways.

The video footage depicts dancers doing barre work, lifts and handstands while determined passersby mostly ignore the fantastic tricks going on around them. So far, the Facebook post has garnered nearly 3.5 million views.
