The new members of Spokane Valley City Council — Ben Wick, Linda Thompson and Brandi Peetz — are here, and they tried to have Wick take the mayor's seat from Rod Higgins last night. But Higgins still had majority support on his side, so he remains the mayor. (Spokesman-Review)
