First of all, let me clarify for the people who didn't read what I wrote
correctly; I wasn't jeering all Eastern Washington voters, I was only
jeering to the ones who voted against Referendum 74. And now I'm going to
jeer to whoever it was that wrote one of the most ignorant things I've ever
read in my life; the first jeer in response to the one I wrote last issue.
First of all, yes, you should be ashamed of yourself. And not for
your "freedom of choice," but for being a complete moron. Yes, I do know
some evangelicals and I know that the majority opposition to gay marriage
and homosexuality in general comes from religion. You encouraged me to move
to the west side, so let me in turn encourage you to move to Idaho. Being
that only a handful of cities there even have laws on the books banning
discrimination against homosexuals, I think it would be a good fit for you.
You said "evolution and natural selection would weed out homosexuals by the
mere fact that they can't naturally procreate." That could very well be the
most idiotic thing I've ever read in a newspaper. Of course they can't
procreate! But why do straight people keep having gay babies, and why do we
see cases of homosexuality in our closest relatives, apes and chimps?
Obviously, homosexuality is normal and natural. Your statements are
ridiculously offensive, intolerant and uneducated. You're no better than a
racist. I'm sorry you weren't born in the 19th century, because your views
are perfectly in line with that time period. You would have been quite
popular. But, this is the 21st century, sorry. Just sleep well at night
knowing that gay marriage will inevitably be legalized nation wide once the
old generation of people with views like yours pass the country on the the
young generation.
