The White House plans to announce a $12 billion package of emergency aid for farmers caught in an escalating trade war.

Prom crasher
Daybreak Youth Services, which helps girls recover from substance abuse, stores prom dresses for the girls in their downtown administrative offices. Early Monday, somebody broke in and sprayed fire extinguisher all over the dresses. (Spokesman-Review)

Stealing from kids
Somebody stole a trailer containing $10,000 dollars in camping gear belonging to local Boy Scout Troop 218 over the weekend. The troop is asking for the public to help find it. (KREM)

Winter is coming
The city will more than double the number of snow plows equipped with driveway-clearing gates this winter, and city officials think it will make a "big difference for our citizens." Mayor David Condon even dressed up like Santa Claus, to really sell the idea. (Spokesman-Review)

The cost of war
You know how President Trump's trade war is costing U.S. farmers a bunch of money? Well, the U.S. Department of Agriculture will announce a $12 billion package to help relieve those farmers. (Washington Post)

Tragic accident
Following a police chase that ended in a Trader Joe's on Saturday, the suspect opened fire on police. But it was police gunfire that killed a Trader Joe's employee, 28-year-old Meluda Corado. (NBCLosAngeles)
