Local music venue Carr’s Corner to close this week

After just hosting a Super Bowl party yesterday, the owners of Carr’s Corner indicated today they would be leaving the popular music venue’s current location at 230 S. Washington St. sometime this week.

One of the club’s promoters, Chelsey Heidenreich of Fusion Booking, she says the plan is for Carr’s Corner to move to a new location and reopen within a few months.

Heidenreich is in the process of helping book previously upcoming Carr’s shows at other local venues.

“I think it’s going to be awesome no matter what,” Heidenreich says. “It’s sad to see the old location go but I’m looking forward to what’s next.”

Update: 

Carr's Corner will hold one final show Thursday. The lineup will include: Weary Traveler, Robby Sletner, Blackwater Prophet, Stone Cold Slumber Party and FAUS (acoustic).

The show begins at 8 pm and is free.
