{embed_video}All roads lead first to Spokane City Hall this Friday. At the Chase Gallery there, check out a collection of mobiles created by Nan Drye, which explore heavy concepts like squandering time and feminism. Object Space gallery operator Bruce Hormann will also display epoxy resin and collage works explaining his life experiences. Both exhibits will be on display at Chase Gallery located inside the city hall.
Afterward, wander across the street to the Kress Gallery (on the third floor of River Park Square) where Sheila Evans' 'Metaphorphosis' is exhibiting. Her latest art installation explores the changes and growth she experienced while working with a new medium.
Head up Lincoln Street after the mall for a viewing of Tracy Nodland’s paintings, depicting jazz and wine, at Gallery of Thum'.
On Wall Street's Second Space Gallery check out the twisting ladies of Tiffany Patterson, whose work will appear alongside pieces by working tattoo artists.
At the east end of west Main Street, motherhood will be celebrated at Santé Restaurant. Painter and photographer Jane Silver will begin her exhibition surveying the art of birth. Our Mother The Mountain will perform, and culinary artist Lynett Pflueger created a special menu for expectant mothers for the event.
Other First Friday musical performances include the vocal and guitar stylings of Maxie Ray Mills at Arbor Crest (also in River Park Square), Tracy Carr will be performing at Avenue West Gallery, and Spare Parts will be at Madeleine’s. First Friday events run approximately from 5-8 pm.
