SEEN IN SPOKANE: Mid-day bagpiping

We were just sitting at our desks yesterday, slaving away, when the low hum of bagpipes came in through the front door. We walked outside to see one lone bagpiper playing on the Riverside median. If we wouldn't have asked, we'd have thought he was just staging a performance in the vein of our Marshall McLean street concert. As it turns out, there was a funeral going on next door at the Masonic Temple, and Bill Thomas (of the Angus Scott Pipe Band) was playing beautiful music on his bagpipes to welcome guests. We caught a song on camera below.
