MORNING HEADLINES: Goats, Glenn Beck and Armageddon

Posted on Tue, Oct 19, 2010 at 9:04 AM

Dear Lord, hook me up Greg Glover, lead pastor at ConnectPoint Church in Spokane, made his first court appearance yesterday after being accused of stealing prescription pills from one of his parishioners. Glover is on video apparently stealing the pills, and the sheriff’s department also set up a sting at the parishioner’s house, catching Glover taking some hydrocodone pills. (KXLY)

Go by bike A man accused of a string of bank robberies — whose getaway vehicle was a bike — also made his first court appearance yesterday. The man, Lucas Woodward, is accused of a string of robberies that began last December and continued through last week, when he allegedly held up a north Spokane bank. Now that’s a crime any tree-hugger can get behind. Or, at least anybody with a suspended license. (SR)

Ferocious goat killed A mountain goat that gored and killed a man last week in the Olympic National Forest had shown aggressive behavior in the past, park rangers say. The goat stood over the hiker’s body for an hour before walking off last week. Rangers later found and killed the goat. (AP)

Glenn Beck and Armageddon Glenn Beck, well known for his gold peddling, is now selling survival kits on his website. He won’t win my respect until he demonstrates how to kill, dress and skin a bear on his show. (Atlantic Wire)
