Shonto Pete just stopped by our office to say that his civil trial was dismissed by a judge. 

Pete was looking to get his bills paid — $40,000 in medical bills and lawyer fees stemming from the February 2007 night when he was shot in the head by off-duty police officer Jay Olsen. 

Since that night, both Olsen and Pete have tangled in court and in the headlines, but Olsen has walked away with more courtroom victories.

And now, with this final judgment — which Pete says he won't appeal — Olsen gets the final victory.
