MORNING HEADLINES: From baseball fields to parking lots

Foul play — The baseball field at Coeur d’Alene High School was vandalized this weekend. The bat racks had been ripped off and the pitching mound had been dug up.(KHQ)

Body identified — Idaho state police found a body in the Snake River earlier this month. Now they believe it belongs to a missing grandmother from Kamiah, Idaho, though they don’t yet know the cause of death. (KXLY)

A lot more lot — Hey, there may be massive layoffs in the Spokane Public School District, but educational staff can take solace in this: The Spokane city council approved larger parking lots for elementary and middle schools. (SR)
