Nine free tax preparation sites opened around Spokane on Friday where low- to moderate-income Spokane County residents can receive help preparing and filing their 2012 taxes. The volunteer-run prep sites will be open through April 15, the last day to file your taxes.
The tax preparation sites are open to people who earned less than $50,270 in 2012, and assistance is being provided through a partnership between the Spokane County United Way, AARP, IRS and the local CASH asset building coalition.
