WHAT'S UP TODAY? Pageantry, Sandpoint's Festival of Trees and Shatner!

There are plenty of worthwhile activities going down around town, and you can find them in our event listings and carefully culled Staff Picks. No time to look? No problem. 

Here are some highlights for Thursday, Dec. 4: 

WORDS | Spokane-born author Benjamin Parzybok drops by Auntie's to discuss his new novel, and he'll be joined by EWU professor and novelist Sam Ligon. 

THEATER | Read our interview with pop culture icon William Shatner, and then get on down to the INB Performing Arts Center to see him perform his one-man show, Shatner's World

COMMUNITY | The Sandpoint Festival of Trees kicks off today with Family Night, featuring music, cookies and a visit from a jolly, crimson-clad cat and his reindeer. 

LIVE BANDS | The Hop! hosts Denton, Texas, indie-rockers Pageantry, who pack a sound blending lo-fi noise and shoe-gaze. They'll be joined by The Vibe, The Finns and Reverie. Here's a taste of Pageantry:
