Morning headlines: Walker endorses Cruz, Spokane shooting justified, 'Man in Tree' becomes man in jail

Sour grapes
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz, not Donald Trump, ahead of the state's primary on April 5. Of course, that's only because Walker is upset that Trump beat him so badly in the primary, according to Trump.  (Politico)

Hijacker arrested
The alleged hijacker of a plane destined for Egypt has been arrested, and the passengers and crew are safe. (CNN)

Stand your ground

Spokane County prosecutors have ruled that a man was justified in shooting and killing an apparently drunk, high man who would not get off his porch on Jan. 30. 

No more bullying
In the wake of a 13-year-old girl's suicide, Spokane Public Schools hosted a suicide forum at Garry Middle School that had parents calling for more bullying prevention. (KXLY)

Unfunded mandates
Spokane Public Schools needs 120 new classrooms to meet the state's lower class-size initiative and wants the state to pay. (Spokesman-Review)

A tie is better than a loss
A U.S. Supreme Court case that could have dealt a blow to teacher's unions instead ended in a 4-4 tie Tuesday, and the death of Justice Antonin Scalia likely changed the outcome. (New York Times)

Man in jail
Seattle's famous "Man in Tree" was charged with assault and mischief after spending a day in a tree throwing stuff at police. Apparently, days earlier he told an officer his name was Edward Cullen. If you don't know who that is, don't worry, KING 5 has got you covered (his name isn't Edward Cullen).
