A Thankless Job

Posted on Mon, Dec 27, 2010 at 9:09 AM

To everyone criticizing local law enforcement on the recent shootings, here is an idea, should you be in possession of a weapon, or an object that looks like one, and an Officer tells you to “Drop it and get on the ground”, Do It!  A person with a weapon is just that, police don’t know if they are mentally unstable, a drug dealing thug, a junkie high as a kite, or a law abiding citizen, but if you are told to drop your weapon, and you point the weapon, or run at police, don’t be surprised when you get shot, thus stopping the threat. Shame on you people for blaming police for the deaths of your family and friends. Local law enforcement, keep up the good work, there are still some out here who support, respect, and appreciate the tough job you do to keep us safe.
