I saw you while walking up the aisle, pushing my cart, I caught a glimpse
of you up ahead. My heart began to palpitate and my legs went weak, but I
bravely smiled back when you flashed that confident, gorgeous grin. We
didn't speak; I am mute and awkward in your presence. But thoughts of you
filled my head again. In one of our fleeting moments together, you once
said that my life would be different now. I smiled wryly, but did not
reply, knowing you were wrong.
My life hasn't been altered, only my heart. You probably didn't intend, or
even want, to take it; but I will always feel the loss of that piece which
you now possess.
